Bog Speak Lexicon

Bog Speak is the official unofficial language of the people in the bog at Pennsic. The Bog is differentiated from the Swamp by its physical location more than its culture. The Bog is the clump of land that starts at Frog's way, and goes all the way back to the Family Swimming hole. Unlike the Swamp, (which is full of like-minded individuals), the Bog contains several groups that are not... um, shall we say, like us. Really, when one speaks of the Bog, one is referring to the Lost Boys and the groups of Lost Boy friendly types who reside in the Bog area.

Bog Speak evolved from a stupid accent to what it is today... a stupid accent with a few English words that have been given totally different meanings than those found in your standard Webster's Dictionary.

• Creeper - dick, schlong, dong, thingie, willie, meat puppet, one-eyed trouser snake, whang, john thomas, cock, prick, dare we say it... penis. Usefull for leading into "Creeper... I don't even know her!"
• Bucket - butt, keester, backside, ass, arse, can, bum, tush, bott-bott, behind, where the sun don't shine... etc...
• SPORK!!! - the War cry of The Lost Boys
• Bog-Frogs - Little frog like creatures that live in standard #10 envelopes. Every now and then, they reproduce, and must immediately be mailed to other swampies and boggies least they overrun Xentrix's (yes, I know it was you) house.
• Booowww chi-cka Barrww Barrww - The little tune that starts playing during every porno flick ever made right before the actors are about to get minkey.
• Tent Spin Monster - The evil creature that prowls the Swamp and Bog, mainly at night, and finds defenseless drunk people, and makes their tents spin so fast that they have to reach out and grab the nearest Damp and Muddy Log to keep from being flung off the face of the Earth.
• Damp and Muddy Log - The weapon that the Mighty Brun discovered to combat the Tent Spin Monster
• Slack - As in, "I was too slack to do anything today." This word is used an awful lot in The Lost Boys' camp. It usually involves a hammock. It usually lasts all day.
• Thump Thump Sploosh! - The sound a Lost Boy makes when they fall out of a hammock. (The river is right there, and the hammocks hang over a hill

Bog-isms are not actually vocabulary so much as standard phrases used in the Bog. They are included here to add more stuff to this otherwise, rather empty page.

• Liquor.... I don't even know her! - Spoken loudly and in unison by all Swampies within earshot every time anyone says any word ending in an "er" sound... Replace the "liquor" with whatever the word was.... "Please hand me the butter." "Butter... I don't even know her!!!"
